MTS COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS - OMICRON. DELTA  & OTHER VARIANTS

  • No single intervention can fully prevent COVID-19. By layering multiple safety measures, Berkeley families and providers can help protect our youth and minimize missed time participating in school, sports and social activities.
  • The most important safety tools to protect against COVID-19 are:
  • COVID-19 Vaccines: Vaccines are the most effective protection against COVID-19 for adults and children at least 6 months old. They are free to all
  • Indoor Masking: Making sure that children use effective masks consistently and correctly helps reduce spread of the virus
  • Staying home when sick: Keep or send children home when they exhibit COVID-19 symptoms
  • COVID-19 testing: Anyone exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or that have had close contact with someone with COVID-19 should get tested

Wearing a mask will optional this summer. Although not required, masks may be the single most important safety item we can use to prevent the spread of Covid-19 variants Delta, Omicron and other new variants.

2023 Monday Doubles League: MTS offers adult playing leagues on Monday evenings at Davie Tennis Stadium in Oakland. This was created to provide match play opportunities for individuals who take private and group lessons. Many individuals take lessons but have no match play venue to implement what they are learning. Our doubles league is the ideal setting to put those skills to use and to learn "how to PLAY tennis". The sessions are six weeks long and run from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. Fees are $200.00 per session. Each week participants will play three sets of doubles. Individuals will play one set with each player on their court. Each court is group together based on skill levels. General range of skill is 2.5 to 4.0+ NTRP skill levels.

2023 Evening Adult Mid-Week Summer Tennis Camps:

NEW this year is our after work evening Adult Summer Tennis Camps. Traditionally summertime is tennis playing time. But with today’s busy work schedules taking up most of the day, time to work on you tennis game is limited. This summer we are offering a 3 day/evening (Tues., Weds.& Thurs.) adult tennis camp for all levels of play. Camp will start in the early evening after work hours to accommodate the working adult player. Depending on your skill level focus will be developing fundamentally sound stroke mechanics, basic doubles and singles strategies and implementing these in game, set and match play situations. Our philosophy is to teach our students the basic tennis strokes with an emphasis applying them in live ball game situations. Many people can rally and hit a tennis ball, but only a few know how to play tennis.

Camp times are 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Camp Fees are: $200.00 per session

Camp Space will be limited register early. To Register click here
